My time and my passion is spent helping coaches to unlock their potential. I’ve done it for years with golf students, but now I love helping other golf professionals to become entrepreneurs, to become successful, to have more time with their families, and to really make the money that you are worth.
Now, one of the big things that I find is the first thing that I have to lay down when we start working is this equation of money and success.
And so many people come to me saying, well, I wanna go ahead and make a bunch of money so that I can be successful.
Now, I think the thing is – is that if you don’t understand an equation and you try and run that equation, you’re probably gonna struggle. But if that equation is actually the opposite or wrong, it’s gonna make it impossible for you actually to get to the result you desire.
So you see, the fact is that if I make money, then I’ll be successful is the mindset that success is related in buying a nice car, paying off the house, having a bunch of money, but the truth is, and it’s very simple, that if you are successful, the byproduct is money.
You see, I see so many people falling into this mindset if I buy this technology, if I get this certification, if I can make all this money, then I’ll be a success. I’ll win the award. But the fact is, think about it in golf. Those guys that win major championships are the ones that are just putting the time and putting the effort and refining their art. You see, I think this week instead of thinking about how much money can I make, yes, have a goal, that’s great, but then think about what are the 10 ways that I could do that?
Every morning this week, write down 10 ways that I can reach that financial goal.
It’ll shift your mind from just the money to how do I get happier customers? How do I get better results? How do I market my product better? How do I sell my product better? How do I retain my customers? You’ll come up with so many different ideas because your focus becomes if I build the right product, I create the right culture, my players will get results.
When you start then getting the results, guess what happens? Your demand goes up, but your supply can go down. You can now work the time that you wanna work, the hours that you desire to work, and charge the money that you deserve to get.
I really want to challenge you this week to just spend time defining what is success to you? Not the money side, but the experience side, the environment side, the results side for your customers. If you start to focus on that, I will guarantee you that the money will follow.
