For any of you to be a huge success at your business, the first person that you have to make sure that you sell it to is yourself. You see, one of the things that I run into so often is people don’t buy their own product. They don’t believe in what they’re doing enough.
For any of you to be a huge success at your business, the first person that you have to make sure that you sell it to is yourself. You see, one of the things that I run into so often is people don’t buy their own product.
They don’t believe in what they’re doing enough.
They may go and get a great certification. They may go and get some great technology. But when it comes to the price, they stumble inside, which means, when they talk to their customers, they stumble in their words, they stumble in their belief. And the customer picks up on that.
You see, I think the most important thing that we need to do is build up our self-esteem, our self-image, to make it what we really are: professionals.
I mean, think about this. A plumber, an electrician, can make a hundred to a hundred fifty dollars an hour. A lawyer can be making 300 to 500 to a thousand dollars an hour. We solve a massive problem. Golfers that want to play better golf and have more fun can come to us, and we can give them what they desire.
If we don’t start to understand that we bring great value to them, we’ll never be able to sell the product. No matter how great it is, no matter how many certifications or technology that you have; if you don’t work on selling yourself first, you’re always gonna come up short.
So what I want you to do this week is challenge you, to spend 10 minutes each day writing down why are you worth it, what problems do you solve, and why is your program the program that every child, beginning lady, advanced golfer, person with a swing problem, person with a scoring problem needs to be in?
if you don’t work on selling yourself first, you’re always gonna come up short.
Pick your niche, pick your market, and define why you are the person that people need to come to. If you do that, you will start to buy yourself. That confidence will come through in how you speak to other people, and from there, you can go and do what you love, which is coach people how to shoot lower scores and swing the club better.
This week, challenge yourself. Just 10 minutes a day to invest into your self-image, your self-esteem, and buy yourself before you try and sell to others. If you want other ideas like this or concepts in sales and entrepreneurial skills, join me on my next workshop where we’ll be having a live webinar where you can ask Q and A to become the entrepreneur you know you need to become to attain your golfing and business goals.
